Sarah Palin Effect

Republicans clearly achieved their goal: grabbing attention. Obama was enjoying all the media coverage and McCain was fading from people’s memory. Now media just cannot get enough of her, a very distinct person. She is not ambiguous on anything. Maybe that’s something we should worry about? Politicians are supposed to be subtle and inscrutable. Aren’t they?

Her Nightline interview was boring. The only fun part is when she does not really know what was the “Bush Doctrine.” Charlie Gibson almost explained to her.

Remember how Hilary won New Hampshire by showing a bit of herself? Somehow, Sarah Palin is losing her personality and becoming a political drone. This will lose the effect McCain designed her for.

Somehow, I don’t see a person with strong and distinct stances on many issues succeed in Washington, D.C. Maybe Sarah Palin will be a great help during the campaign, but a liability as a VP?
