Our expectation, nevertheless, heightened as we took in the Ginza streets.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.nomadicminds.org\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/20140325_182845.jpg\" width=600 alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><p>Celebrities and luminaries frequented <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kyubey.jp\/index_e.html\">Kyubey (\u00e4\u00b9\u009d\u00e5\u2026\u00b5\u00e8\u00a1\u203a)<\/a>, a Sushi bar elevated to international fame by <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/news\/articles\/SB118618530172987897\">Wall Street Journal<\/a> years back.  Patrons sit at the sushi counters shared by slightly more than a dozen and face the sushi chef no more than 2 feet away, smiling with two long and sharp knives.  Soon, seafood, mostly raw, transformed into visually appealing and appetizing forms appear on the plate in front of you.  The chef would suggest \u00e2\u20ac\u0153to dip or not to dip\u00e2\u20ac\u009d into the sauce soy saucer and I found it rewarding to oblige.<\/p>\n<p>Sake bottles kept on disappearing.  Bite-size pieces came endlessly.  Never have I imagined the varieties of fish and their complex texture and flavor combinations.  I soon ran out of adjectives and praises for the chef, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s very good;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Oh, this is very good;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Delicious;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Oishii desu;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and my lame joke, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Delicious desu.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.nomadicminds.org\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/20140325_191946.jpg\"  width=600 alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally, misu soup came and we let out a happy sigh.  As we walked out, wait, really, no kidding, geez, should I grab my camera?  Yes, it was Lionel Richie himself with a very gorgeous companion.  Quick!  Which Lionel Richie song came to your mind?  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153All Night Long\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was mine.<\/p>\n<p>I cannot tell if this is the best sushi in Tokyo.  I would definitely testify it to be the best I remember in recent life.  The damage?  Our host said US$750 for three of us.
