{"id":542,"date":"2009-03-27T12:34:15","date_gmt":"2009-03-27T20:34:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nomadicminds.org\/blogs\/?p=542"},"modified":"2009-03-23T12:36:09","modified_gmt":"2009-03-23T20:36:09","slug":"it-makes-you-stronger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nomadicminds.org\/blogs\/2009\/03\/it-makes-you-stronger\/","title":{"rendered":"It makes you stronger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nIn the movie <i>Princess Bride<\/i>, Westley took an ever-increase dose of poison over a long period of time to build up his resistance,  part of his herculean effort to rescue the princess.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/darwinawards.com\/i\/art\/mcdonnell\/The_Alchemist.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"float: right\" width=\"200\"><br \/>\nA recent <a href=\"http:\/\/darwinawards.com\/darwin\/darwin2007-18.html\">Darwinian award winner<\/a> tried the same with cyanide and died.<br \/>\nScientists seem to agree with Westley on the matter of peanut butter; they proved that kids can indeed build up their immunity by eating very small amount of peanuts to start.<\/p>\n<p>When I was a kid, adults frequently said &#8220;\u00e4\u00b8\u008d\u00e4\u00b9\u00be\u00e4\u00b8\u008d\u00e6\u00b7\u00a8,\u00e5\u0090\u0192\u00e4\u00ba\u2020\u00e6\u00b2\u2019\u00e7\u2014\u2026&#8221; (a little insanitarity makes you healthier).  I never quite understood it.  Then I found American kids are allergic to <i>everything<\/i>.
