That ice storm appeared to have completely paralyzed the 978 area code (upper Massachusetts).<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local\/massachusetts\/articles\/2008\/12\/13\/ice_storm_paralyzes_parts_of_new_england\/\"><img src=\" http:\/\/cache.boston.com\/resize\/bonzai-fba\/Globe_Photo\/2008\/12\/12\/1229140643_6606\/539w.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>So I woke up this morning to walk the dog.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue, it was a bit chill, so I put my hands in the pockets.  Dog clearly is totally oblivious.
