But the addictiion kept me moving till the last page.&nbsp; For few hours, I don&apos;t know what to do with myself.&nbsp; I don&apos;t have Dune to read anymore and I don&apos;t want to start another book yet.<\/p>\n<p>The big confrontation between Bene Gesseri and Honored Matres was so anti-climatic.&nbsp; The mystery &#8220;one time&#8221; weapon was never explained.&nbsp; The &#8220;wild thing&#8221; sub-plot was weak.&nbsp; And I still don&apos;t get this Duncan Idaho obsession Frank Herbert has.&nbsp; The deep, philosophical political\/religious pearls and wisdom got really boring.<\/p>\n<p>Am I going to not finish the whole series next time?&nbsp; Probably not.&nbsp; This old dog does not learn new tricks in this department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I get this withdrawal feeling putting down Dune6 (Chapterhouse).&nbsp; This is the similar feeling when I finished Lord of the Rings trilogy.&nbsp; It was the drive to finish that kept me going.&nbsp; The books themselves became dull and repetitive.
